2004-11-18 - 9:22 a.m. Good thing about coming back to work: everyone is sociable and we celebrate birthdays. Bad thing about coming back to work: everyone is sociable and we celebrate birthdays….with CAKE!! I have been sooooooo good the last two weeks with watching what I eat, not snacking, and not eating after 8 pm. But apparently, here at casa del workplace, at the end of the month they celebrate all of the birthdays that have happened during that month, by bringing in sweet treats! Don’t get me wrong…I loves me some sweet treats! But yassee, that’s just the problem! My butt didn’t get this big by saying NO to the sweet treats. Damn women and their superior baking skills! Pardon me…I have to be ‘sociable’ now….. ::: ok, here’s the situation….we are not allowed to wear jeans to work. Not blue jeans, or black jeans…or ANY kind of denim pants. Even though no one ever sees us. Even on Sundays, when there are only 4 of us in the office. There is ONE casual day a week. That day is Friday. If you don’t happen to work on Fridays like…oh, I don’t know..ME, then that’s just too fucking bad. However, I happen to like the soft-wearing, casual feeling of jeans. Not necessarily the denim part…but the fit, and the style. So, my idea was to sew some jeans-style pants out of some other material that the dress code nazis will not bust me for. The problem I’m running into is not finding fabric…oh no. I have yards and yards and friggin’ YARDS of the stuff at home, all patiently waiting to be made into beautiful fashion for my sassy booty. The problem is finding a pattern for BLUE JEANS!!!! the only ones I’ve found were for girls. As in 9-year-old girls. So….anyone out there who sews, and/or makes their own clothes, and/or dates anyone who does….please tell me: WHERE CAN I BUY A PATTERN FOR BLUE JEANS????? Oh, there is one other small problem….finding the damn TIME to actually sew anything!!! I need that thingamajig that Hermoine had in the Harry Potter book…you know, the little turn-back-time thingy. If anyone knows where I can get one of those too, it would be much appreciated.
