2005-09-18 - 10:46 a.m. 3 days. It takes about three days for that much garlic to work its way out of your system. I ended up going home early on Thursday. I just felt so …just…BLEH! and I was starting to stink again. If I hadn’t left when I did, I’m pretty sure they would have been ASKING me to leave fairly soon anyway. I also ended up sleeping on the couch for two nights. But it turns out that my brother had to go sleep on the couch too. Hehehehe. I suppose I should tell you about all the cool loot I got for my birthday, huh? Well, I actually got my first bday present early. Like…a week early. Chicken got me the new Lilo&Stitch movie. I think he had hopes of watching it as soon as he gave it to me…but I made him wait until Friday (my “birthday party”). So, my actual birthday was on Sunday (9-11), but we had my party on Friday, because Husband didn’t have to work. We went to Buffet Yangtze. A HUGE chinese buffet. It was sooo yummy. And we were all good, and nobody ate themselves sick this time (a standard occurrence at a chinese buffet for our family). Then we went home and watched the new movie. It was just as good as I thought it’d be. Except it made me cry at the end. What the FUCK were the people at Disney THINKING??? Anyway, Marlborough gave me part of my present on Friday as well. Two 1L bottles of bubbly bath. *happy sigh*. Except, the way things worked out…I never even got to OPEN them until the following week. Hmm…then Saturday….ya..i don’t remember Saturday. I’m sure I did something interesting. I just don’t remember what it was. Then Sunday…my actual birthday. I had to work. Which sucked. But I opened the present from my ex-mom-in-law before work. It was a really pretty painting of a waterfall and some trees. I mean, it was pretty Bob Ross looking, actually…but there is this one tree that I just love. It looks like a big old gnarly moss covered tree. And I like him. Work. Hmm…was pretty boring. Except my jellybean gave me this beautiful little ceramic tile that has a relief pic of a water lily on it. It’s really pretty. I decided to leave it on my desk at work, so I have something pretty to look at when I’m here. Bunny called to say she was sick and wouldn’t be in to work, so I would have to wait till Monday to get my present. That was cool. Well, not that she was sick, or that I would have to wait another day to get more loot…just that she had actually got me anything. She’s so awesome and generous. so anyway…boring typing ensued for the next 8 hours. *yawn*. Husband picked me up from work, and we picked up movies on the way home (Sahara – which was pretty cornball, but worked well for an action/adventure type movie, very Indiana Jones-ish; and Lemony Snicket’s Series of Unfortunate Events – overall was a cute movie, but I was a little disappointed, but still liked it). We got home and Husband had prepared a HUGE birthday party type supper!! Cut up fruit and veggies with dip, some cold meat and cheese, and crackers, with cheesecake for dessert!! We spread it all out on the coffee table, put in the movies, and had a really nice birthday party, just the three of us. (at some point during the evening, Marlborough came home and gave me the second part of my present, a scroll saw piece from D, his pothead friend. I have been wanting D to do a project for me for about 8 years…but he won’t sell them! He won’t even give them away! So for Marlborough to actually get him to make me one…well…I feel special!) Also, I have the best husband in the world. He got me a SCROLL SAW for my birthday!!! *SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!* I have wanted one for um…just about forever!! Also, I forgot to tell you what my mum&dad got me for my birthday….painting lessons! Watercolor painting, to be precise. Yassee…I adore watercolor paintings, but when it comes to actually doing one? Ya, I kinda suck rocks. Lessons start next Thursday. 2 hours, every Thursday, for five weeks. I’m totally stoked! (stoked…hmm…doesn’t sound quite right when talking about water color painting…but still…I totally am!) Monday…bunny gave me my prezzy. It was awesome. I got a pretty blue necklace, a piece of some highly fattening but totally delicious gourmet apple caramel cake, and the Blue Collar Comedy Tour dvd!!! I friggin LOVE those guys!!!! So, all in all, was an awesome birthday.
